This Privacy Policy covers Star Map Lab and the browser game Constellation Connect. We wrote it to be readable — not to hide anything. Our core design principle is that a game you play in a browser tab should not harvest data about you. Constellation Connect follows that principle.
Here is everything:
localStorage on your own device. It never leaves your browser. We cannot read it, modify it, or delete it remotely — because it's yours, on your machine.Nothing else. No names, no emails, no phone numbers, no payment details, no persistent identifiers, no behavioural profiles.
The server logs help us spot errors and verify that the game loads correctly across different browsers and devices. The aggregate statistics help us understand whether the game is reaching anyone at all. Your localStorage score is used by the game itself to show you your best result. That's it.
We do not sell any data. We do not share data with advertising networks. We do not build user profiles. We do not track you across other websites. We do not use retargeting pixels or fingerprinting. We do not monetise Constellation Connect in any way — it is a free game with no ads.
Constellation Connect sets zero cookies. The only browser storage we use is localStorage, which stores your high score locally. It has no expiry and stays until you clear it manually via your browser's settings. To wipe it, open your browser's storage inspector (usually under Developer Tools → Application → Local Storage) and clear the entry for this site.
We use Google Fonts to load a typeface. When your browser requests a font file, it sends your IP address to Google as part of the normal HTTP request. We don't control that; you can review Google's Privacy Policy for the details. No other third-party scripts, trackers, or SDKs are embedded in Constellation Connect.
Server logs: deleted automatically after 14 days. Your localStorage score: persists until you clear it yourself. Aggregate statistics: retained indefinitely in anonymised form.
Depending on your jurisdiction you may be entitled to access, correct, export, or request deletion of personal data we hold. Because we hold almost none, the most direct route is clearing your browser's localStorage. For any other request, write to stars@starmaplab.space and we will respond within 30 days.
We apply standard security practices to our infrastructure. The fact that Constellation Connect stores meaningful state only on your own device significantly limits the impact of any hypothetical breach of our servers.
If we ever change how we handle data, we will update this page and the date above. We will not notify you by email because we don't have your email. Continuing to play Constellation Connect after an update means you accept the revised policy.
